Location Map and Administrative Context

The study area is located in Belgium, within the Flanders region, and is situated mainly within the boundaries of the municipality of Beersel. A small section of the area lies within the territory of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw.

The study area is also situated within the boundary of one of Flanders’ four National Parks, namely Brabantse Wouden (Nationaal Park Brabantse Wouden Vlaanderen, 2026).
